Lion King JR. will be a fully produced and technically-sound production in conjunction with Center Stage Theatre in Shelton. This production will include basic costumes, props and scenery as well as full lighting, sound, direction and choreography.

Assumption School students in grades 4-8 are invited to participate.

 

Questions & Answers

1. When does the program begin?

   • The program will begin the week of 9/18. The first day will be an “Audition Day” for all participants to determine which roles each participant will play. We will have a “Parent Meeting” at the conclusion of the day on 9/18.

2. How do we prepare for auditions?

   • Center Stage will have an “Audition Workshop” on Wednesday, 9/13 from 3:30-4:30 PM. At this time, all participants will be walked through the audition process and will have the opportunity to meet the Creative Team. This will be optional.

3. When are rehearsals and performances?

   • Rehearsals will be Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00 at Assumption. All participants should plan to attend every rehearsal. “Tech Week” (the week leading up to the show) will take place at Center Stage Theatre on November 14, 15 & 16 from 4:00-6:00 PM. “Tech Week” is a time to run the show in its entirety prior to the performances - these are full dress rehearsals. Performances will be on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18 at Center Stage Theatre. Times for the performances are TBD. Participants must be available for all of Tech Week and the performance dates.

4. How much does the program cost?

   • Lion King Jr. will be $110 per participant. Your participation fee supports the Assumption School Drama Club and defrays Center Stage’s production costs.

   • Tickets for the production will go on sale in October.

5. How do we sign up?

   • Head to www.centerstageshelton.org and our “Education” tab. Look for Lion King Jr. and follow the link to our registration system, ClassBug. Please follow the instructions to create a ClassBug account and register.  Space is limited.
