The Youth CONNection
In 1983, the YouthCONNection began with a production of West Side Story at the former Huntington School. Under the direction of Fran and Gary Scarpa, it began as a continuation of their work with the Shelton High School Drama Club.
40 years later, this annual summer production featuring high school and college-aged actors remains a much-anticipated part of the Center Stage season.
While the location of YouthCONNection performances may have changed, the magic it brings our audiences has never ceased. These immensely talented high school and college students are forever welcomed as family at Center Stage and we are so honored to be the foundation for lifelong friendships and connections that are forged by the cast and crew.
The YouthCONNection will always be what makes the summer sparkle here at Center Stage Theatre.
